Columbia and Chapin - Day Four - January 19, 2017

I love biscuits and gravy, and as it turns out Debbie makes GREAT biscuits and gravy.
Tom and Ed chatting
Conversation started early for Tom and I and the coffee flowed and stories flowed and soon the ladies were up and we all chatted and chatted. Tom took off for a Doctors appointment, Carol went for a walk and grabbed my sketchpads and sat on the back bumper of the car did a quick watercolor of the view down the

street. Tom and Debbie live in a very nice new neighborhood and their home is just fantastic.  Once Tom returned we headed out to do some exploring and  visit an Airstream dealership down on Route 20 just a few miles away. This was Toms first time in an Airstream and he was excited to see one. Carol and I have been looking for quite a while and as I had
Airstream
mentioned in an earlier post, it is our dream. The dealer we talked to took us all over the lot and he ad many many trailers to look at and he actually gave us the best price we have seen on a new Airstream, several thousands of dollars less than we had been offered before. But as I have said, we are still in the dreaming stage. After the Airstream dealership we headed into Columbia and saw the sites, the stadium of the USC Gamecocks was awesome! We had lunch at a favorite spot of Tom and Debbie and it lived up to all expectations.
A couple of stunning ladies at lunch
Carol and Debbie had to be the two prettiest ladies in all of Columbia that day, Tom and I are certainly blessed with great life companions. I got reacquainted with sweet tea, and am guessing it will be a regular part of my day while I here am in the south. After lunch we drove out by the lake and then found a place back near Tom and Debbie's house to fly my drone. I am still quite new to flying but am learning and this was Tom's very first time even seeing a drone..I think we were both quite amazed at all it can do.
We flew it for a while down by the marina and then again back at the house, getting some good views of the area where they live, near Murray Lake. I have edited up a very short video of some of the footage we captured, and will likely do a much longer edit when we get back home.

After another evening was spent chatting until we were exhausted, we all stumbled off to bed and another wonderful day came to a close.
Those who cruised, Debbie, Tom, Carol and Ed
